The MINI's going to have its work cut out during its six months with me. There's a daily 30-minute commute to the office, regular 120-mile trips from Cambridgeshire to Tunbridge Wells in Kent, city driving and regular trips all over the country. Can MINI cope in all conditions? I'm also glad we've gone for a Clubman - that longer load area makes it so much more practical than the hatchback.
It takes a sneaky peek back in time, but has eyes firmly ahead on the engineering, design, safety and image demands that today's customers expect of a premium car. Still a MINI, but with a little extra.
The MINI Clubman is a more practical alternative to the standard MINI hatchback. It is longer and offers more room for rear passengers and more boot space. It packs some neat design touches including spilt rear boot doors, dual-level boot floor and single ‘clubman’ side door for greater access into the rear seats.
